I know that it is summer at the moment and I’m writing about Christmas but I was simply looking at some pictures of the festivities last year and it reminded me of our pug Brian. The reason is because I could see him in nearly every picture and he was an absolute little devil all Christmas.

Firstly he decided that it was his mission to knock down the Christmas tree as many times as possible. It actually got to the point where we decided to take the lights down because we thought it would be dangerous with him jumping up and down the tree. Out of all of the pugs that we know Brian is probably the most energetic of them all. Maybe this is down to the Orijen Puppy food that we fed him when he was a young pup.

Next he made it his business to bark and pester every single guest who came round. He decided to lean on and try and eat off every single guest’s plate who sat down in the living room and when they walked away he would make it his business to drink from their glass.

Oh and did I mention we have a cat as well, both of them were going at each other taking it in turns to run around the house and completely cause havoc. Again the only thing I can blame this on is what we give them for meals as she is also on Orijen cat food. Maybe there is something in this brand that gives them all of this extra energy especially around festive seasons.

Even though Brian was an absolute pain he definitely was the centre of attention and all of our guests completely loved him. We bought him a new coat and some Christmas themed slippers to walk in the house with when it gets cold and of course a great big packet of Orijen dog food.

I think as it was his first Christmas at our house with guests around he got a little overexcited, but this year we’re going to definitely separate the two and keep cheeky little Brian away from the tree, and hopefully things shouldn’t be so hectic.
